  Updated: 1/1/18: I was looking forward to hosting a brunch for me and my friends here and the first man who answered the phone was wonderful. He, however, didn't have the authority to negotiate a lower price for mimosas for the party I was hosting. He transferred me to a woman who was the "event coordinator". She interrupted me every sentence I tried to speak. I ignored it the first few times and tried to explain what I hoped to accomplish but she told me no. I tried to ask if there would be a possible way to decrease the cost of the Mimosas based on group size. I didn't get the chance to ask the question before she cut me off again. I told her that I would like to hold on to the reservation but I would look around to see if I could possibly get a better price on Mimosas since she didn't want to even TRY to negotiate. She interrupted me again asking me if I'd ever been to Brick Street as if I should feel grateful or understand that they are "upscale" and I shouldn't try to get a lower cost for my party. She said "we don't do that." It was then that I got upset. I told her that I would like to keep the reservation but that I will try and see if I can look around for a better price. She interrupted me yet again but this time I stopped her and said, "Excuse me but i was in the middle of a sentence. You know what? Never mind. I'll find another place to go to." She then said, "Okay" and after a long pause said, "Thank you." I hung up. She was disrespectful and if you really were an event manager, you would do what you needed to do to keep customers coming in the door. Even if she had said, "Well, let me see what I can do" and just called me back after doing zero work and told me that she couldn't change anything, I would have kept the reservation and brought all my friends who would have paid the original price she quoted me quite a few times over. Unfortunately, she was presumptuous, snippy and rude. That stupid ass "thank you " at the end was as unconvincing as her job behaving as if customer service were her actual job. It's a shame really. Jumping to conclusions about a voice you hear on the phone just lost you a yearly event with me and with my employer because I will absolutely let them know about this incident and how I was treated.
